Theresa M. Kubek

Theresa M. Kubek, RN, 87, of Nanticoke, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Muncy Place, Muncy, PA, surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 1, 1938 in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Ignatz and Mary Romanowski Grzymski. Theresa graduated from Nanticoke High School with the class of 1955 and also was a graduate of Nesbitt Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Kingston in 1958.

She did private duty nursing for many years, and retired in 2000 after being employed as a Supervisor at Birchwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke.

Theresa was an active member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke and previously Holy Trinity Church most of her life. She was Penn State’s number 1 fan and represented the Blue and White well.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Thomas Kubek on March 5, 2018 after 58 years of marriage; a brother, John “Jack” Grzymski; and her son-in-law, George Schreppel.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Tammy Schreppel, of Muncy, and Mary Anne Nigro and husband, Fred, of Galloway, NJ; dearest grandchildren, Corey Schreppel and wife, Danielle, Brittany Reynolds and husband, T.C., Kirsten Nigro, and Mackenzie Nigro; great- grandchildren, Emmi and Noah Reynolds; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Grzymski of Wilkes-Barre.

Funeral services will begin Saturday, December 13th at 10:30 a.m. from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke and Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S. Hanover Street, Nanticoke with the Rev. Brian F. Van Fossen as celebrant.

Interment and Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Sheatown.

Friends and family are invited for viewing and visitation at the funeral home Saturday from 9 a.m. until transferal to the church.

The family will provide flowers. Contribution in Theresa’s memory may be made to the St. Faustina Food Pantry.
