Theresa A. Jezewski, 91, of Honey Pot section of Nanticoke passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Allied Services Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.

Born October 17, 1932 in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Ann Andrysick Bozinski. Theresa graduated from Nanticoke High School with the class of 1950 and continued her education, graduating from the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital Nursing program. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as Masters degrees from Marywood and Misericordia Colleges.

During her career in nursing, she was employed as Assistant Director of Nursing at Roxborough Hospital in Philadelphia and also as an instructor in Nursing at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York City, Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston, and the Wilkes College Nursing Program. After retiring from nursing, Theresa worked as office manager and payroll supervisor for her son, Michael, at Delta Electrical Systems, Inc., Nanticoke, which was her longest career and spanned over thirty-five years.

She was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska parish, Nanticoke and St. Mary of Czestochowa Church prior to the consolidation of parishes. She also belonged to the Honey Pot Ladies Auxiliary and served on the Recreation Board for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-six years, Leon Jezewski in 2003; her brother, Sylvester Bozinski, and her sister, Yvonne Bozinski.

Surviving is a daughter, Julie Jezewski; a son, Michael Jezewski and his wife, Carol; a grandson, William Jezewski, as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will begin 9:30 a.m. Thursday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S. Hanover Street, Nanticoke.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Viewing and Visitation hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
