Theresa B. Jarolin, 94, of Nanticoke, passed away early Sunday morning, February 12, 2023 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Her husband was Stanley J. Jarolin, former State Representative for the 119th District. He passed away on May 13, 2000.

A life-long resident of Nanticoke, Theresa was born December 20, 1928, a daughter of the late Michael and Victoria Swiatoniowski Raymond. In her early years, she worked in the local silk throwing and cigar industry before becoming a housewife and mother. Her main interest in life was her home and family. She was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke and previously St. Mary of Czestochowa Church.

In addition to her husband, Stanley, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael. She was also the last member of her immediate family, being preceded by twelve brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her children, Kathleen Buchkowski and her husband, Kenneth, and Brenda Heck and husband, Ronald, all of Nanticoke; a son, Robert Jarolin and wife, Jen, of Douglassville; grandchildren; Brian Buchkowski and wife, Tonya; and Sadie Jarolin; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S. Hanover Street, Nanticoke.

Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Viewing and visitation hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
