Stanley F. Sadowski, 83, formerly of Plymouth, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Birchwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke where he was a patient since last September.
Born August 21, 1942 in West Wyoming, he was the son of the late Walter and Phyllis Drzewiecki (Daveski) Sadowski. He attended Plymouth High School before enlisting with the U.S. Army. He served during the Cuban Missle Crisis with Battery A, 2nd Howitzer Battalion, 14th Artillary and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1963.
Prior to his retirement, he worked in security for many years at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital as well as the former Nesbitt Hospital in Kingston. Earlier in life he was employed at United Pants in Plymouth.
Stanley enjoyed hunting, fishing and cars. He was a big sports fan, especially football and baseball, and enjoyed a good glass of wine.
He was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth.
In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Elizabeth.
Survivng are his children, Elizabeth “Beth” Szychowski and husband, John of Nanticoke; Mary Ann Seashock and fiance, Kevin Patton of Plymouth; and Stanley L. Sadowski and fiancee, Helen Shandra of Harding; grandchildren, Megan Hewitt, Sarah Crossley, and Molly Seashock; and great granddaughters, Scarlett Hewitt and Athena Crossley.
Funeral services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at All Saints Parish, 66 Willow Street, Plymouth with the Rev. Gerald J. Gurka, his pastor, as celebrant.
Viewing and Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until transferral to the church.
Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Township.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Mr. Sadowski’s memory to the Department of Vetrans Affairs Medical Center, or to a veterans organization of your choice.

St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery
Interment with Military Honors will be following the Funeral Mass Friday, May 29th in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Township.
