Stanley Jason

May 17, 1940 — May 11, 2026

Nanticoke

Stanley Jason, 85, of Nanticoke, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Lakewood Rehabilitation Facility.

Stan was a kindhearted, easygoing man whose greatest joy in life came from the people and animals he loved most. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, he carried an easygoing spirit that made everyone around him feel at home.

Born to Stanley and Theresa Kwasnik Jason, Stan spent his entire life in the Honey Pot section of Nanticoke, a place he was proud to call home.

He had a special connection with animals, especially dogs, who always seemed naturally drawn to him. Some of his happiest moments were spent walking through the woods with one of his dogs or relaxing on the porch simply enjoying the day. He enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, especially making homemade chicken soup. When it came to making pierogis, Stan proudly took on the job of rolling the dough, something he became known for over the years and a role nobody else could quite do like him. Stan loved to travel and made many wonderful memories alongside his beloved wife, Carol, as well as his sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Of all the places they visited together, Las Vegas remained the favorite.

More than anything, Stan treasured his family and the life he shared with them. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Carol, who passed away on June 6, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Sylvester; brothers-in-law, George Shipierski, Robert Shipierski, and Eddie Starr; and sisters-in-law, Dolores Hock and Mary Ellen Shipierski.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Stanley Jr. and his wife, Karen, and Daniel and his partner, Anne; his cherished granddaughter, Lauren Jason and fiancé Matt Dwojewski; his sister, Delphine Starr; his sister-in-law, Susan Brand and her husband, Gary; Joan Brown and her husband, Jerry; Debbie Bedford and partner Rob; along with many nieces and nephews.

Viewing and visitation hours will be Friday, May 15th from 4 to 6 p.m. at Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke.

Funeral services will begin Saturday May 16th at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S. Hanover Street, Nanticoke.

Private interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Sheatown.
