Shirley J. Atherton, 94 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Saturday, May 11,2024.

Born September 17, 1929, in Hunlock Creek. she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Isabella Wolfe Evarts.

Shirley enjoyed gardening, canning, puzzles, shopping and car rides.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Carl Atherton; daughters Carol and Nancy; and granddaughter Leslie.

She is survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

As per her wishes, there will be no services, viewing, or calling hours.

Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
