Sandra A. Groblewski Maga, 72, of Sheatown, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 3, 2024, while returning from vacation with her family.
Born in Nanticoke, October 11, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Matilda Andruskevich Groblewski.
Sandra was a graduate of John S. Fine High School; she attended St. Joseph's Hospital, Hazleton, where she received her license in medical technology. Her career as a medical technologist spanned over forty-seven years, primarily spent at Nesbitt Hospital, Kingston, before transferring to General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, upon Nesbitt's closing.
She was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke. Sandra loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping on QVC, tuning into her favorite weekly shows, and spending time at her beach house in Chincoteague, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-seven years, Joseph Maga, a son, Joseph Maga, who passed in infancy, and a grandson, Henry Gruber.
Surviving are her daughters, Kelly Gruber and her husband, Kyle, and Kimberly Maga; sons, Christopher Maga and his wife, Lauren, and Jon-David Maga and his wife, Ashley; grandchildren, Madyson Maga, Mason Maga, Roman Maga, Gavin Gruber, and Xavier Gruber; brothers, Leonard Groblewski and his wife, Nancy, and Ronald Groblewski and his wife, Deanne; sisters, Ellen Kowalek and her husband, William, and Mary Lou Siegel and her husband, Jerome; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog "Abby".
Funeral Services will begin 10:30 a.m., Friday at Dinelli Family Funeral home, 170 East Broad Street, Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 South Hanover Street, Nanticoke. The Rev. Brian F. VanFossen, her pastor, and the Rev. James R. Nash will concelebrate.
Friends and Family may call for viewing and visitation from 8:30-10:30 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Nanticoke.
