Rosemary Isabelle Bostock, 79, of Alden passed away peacefully Friday, October 30th, 2026. Rosemary was born on September 28th, 1947, the daughter of the late Frederick and Irene (Martin) Bostock of Pittston. Rosie attended Pittston Area schools and Day Development programs in WIlkes-Barre.
Rosie was loved by her family. She is survived by her sisters Eva Krasulski (the late Michael) of Alden and Patricia Ankenbrand (the late Francis) of Duryea. Rosie adored her late niece Jennifer Wilson (Robbie) of Ashley and her nephews Darren Ankenbrand of Duryea, Rob Ankenbrand (Alisha Moroz) of Baltimore, MD, Jeffrey Krasulski (Raycharlyn) of Dingmans Ferry, Matthew Krasulski (Tracie) of Old Forge, and her favorite nephew Michael Krasulski (Timothy Davidson) of Philadelphia. Rosie also had a special bond with her great nieces, nephew, and their family dogs.
Rosie had a beautiful smile and a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed listening to the Beatles and Elvis, and looked forward to attending dances with her friends. She had an encyclopedic memory of her youth growing up in Pittston and could recall people, places, and experiences with remarkable detail.
For the past three decades, Rosie’s sister Eva lovingly served as her guardian. The two enjoyed playing bingo together and taking trips to the Jersey Shore. Rosie loved sharing stories with her family and friends, often filling the room with laughter. Woven between her jokes and amusing stories were moments of unexpected wisdom, offering perspective on life that her family will always remember.
Rosie spent the past three years at Birchwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Nanticoke. Her family is very appreciative of the staff and residents of Birchwood who took great care of Rosie and made her final days enjoyable.
Private services will be held from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 East Broad Street, Nanticoke with pastor Jacob Claypoole of Nebo Baptist Church, officiating. There will be no public viewing or calling hours..
