Robert J. "Bob" Stachyra

Robert J. “Bob” Stachyra, 71, of Saylorsburg died August 16, 2026 at his home following an illness.

Born March 11, 1955 in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Joseph and Stella Petroski Stachyra.

He graduated from John S. Fine High School, Nanticoke in 1973, Luzerne County Community College in 1975, and University of New Haven, Connecticut in 1977.

Bob was the supervisor of operations of the Pocono Region for PP&L Natural Gas and UGI Natural Gas for 30 ½ years until his retirement.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Robert Stachyra.

He is survived by his son, Robert James Stachyra of New Britain, CT; cousins, Holly, Robin, and Sandy, all of Philadelphia, and Barbara of South Carolina.

Viewing and visitation hours will be Sunday, August 23rd from 6 to 8 p.m. from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke.

A Graveside Service and Rite of Committal will be Monday, August 24th  at 11 a.m. in St. Mary of Czestochowa Cemetery, Nanticoke, with Deacon Herbert Cruikshank, officiating.
