Phyllis Bartkowiak

Phyllis A. Bartkowiak, 92, a life-long resident of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Born November 30, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Rose (Penkala) Waiter. She married Alfred Bartkowiak in 1952 and they had one daughter.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Alfred; her daughter, Karen; her sister, Doris Schwarzwalder; her two granddaughters, Lori Butka and Cindy Fisher; and three great granddaughters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Niesyn; and a grandson, Austin Phillips.

Private services will be held from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, Nanticoke with the Rev. Brian F. Van Fossen, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Sheatown.

There will be no public viewing or calling hours.
