Paul P. Drozdowski, 89, of the Hanover section of Nanticoke, passed away early Saturday morning, June 10, 2023 a patient at Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born September 7, 1933 in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Michael and Julia Lewandowski Drozdowski. Paul graduated from Nanticoke High School with the class of 1951. He married Elizabeth (Bette) Schall on August 3, 1957, and they shared fifty-eight years together until her passing on February 9, 2016.
Early in life, he spent several years working on ships in the Merchant Marines. He also worked for Standard Coach, Nanticoke; and later as a sheet metal worker for ARA Vending, Hanover Township for many years. He retired from Pane Printing in Dallas.
Paul was an active member of the former St. Joseph's Church, Hanover section of Nanticoke most of his life, where he took care of the janitorial duties for many years. In more recent years, he and Bette belonged to St. Faustina Parish. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed his pet dogs, woodworking and shooting darts. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Bette, he was preceded in death by his sons, Paul M. Drozdowski in 2003; and David Drozdowski in 2017; three grandchildren; brothers, Michael and Stanley Drozdowski; and a sister Marion Kelly.
Surviving is his daughter, Pamela Kerick and husband, Steven, Hunlock Creek; a son Daniel Drozdowski and companion, Audrey, Alden Station; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Drozdowski and wife, Kathy, Newport News, VA; and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S. Hanover Street, Nanticoke.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Viewing and visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until transferal to the church.
