Nancy M. Maga, 91, of the Sheatown section of Newport Township, passed away late Sunday evening, November 2, 2025 at Edenbrook at Hampton, Hanover Township where she was a patient for the past two years.
Born April 7, 1934 in Wanamie, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Clara Mills Crouse.
Nancy graduated from Newport Township High School and attended Penn State University, University Park, where she met her husband, Alfred D. Maga.
She was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke and previously Holy Child Church, Sheatown, for many years, until the consolidation of parishes.
Her main interest in life was her home and family.
In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed crocheting, camping and fishing. She will also be remembered as a great cook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Alfred on July 25, 2024; following 68 years of marriage; her sister, Ruth Price; and her brother, Thomas Crouse Jr.
Nancy is survived by: a son, Paul Maga, and his wife, Linda; a daughter, Holly McCloskey, and her husband, Dr. David McCloskey; grandchildren, Nicholas McCloskey and his wife, Erin, and Kelly Subers and her husband, Gavin; great-grandchildren; Madelyn McCloskey, Roman Subers, and Remington Subers; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Blessing Service will be held Thursday, November 6th, at noon from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke.
Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, November 6th, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
Private entombment in Hanover Green Cemetery, will be held at a later date.
