Nancy M. (Holminski) Balla, 87, of Springfield, Virginia, formerly of Glen Lyon, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, after a brief illness.

Born January 22, 1938 in Glen Lyon, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Elizabeth Humphrey Holminski.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her daughter Brenda, and her brother, William Holminski.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Balla) Van Balen and her husband, Paul of Springfield, VA, with whom she resided, her daughter, Robin (Balla) Mahon and her husband, James of Sparta, NJ and her grandchildren, Alexander Mahon and Ashley Mahon.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Iliff Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Dunn Loring, VA., for the care that they provided.

In accordance with her wish, interment will be private at St. John the Baptist Slovak Cemetery in Glen Lyon, PA.

Arrangements are in the care of Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 East Broad Street, Nanticoke, PA.
