Michael J. Shehadi, 67, of Nanticoke, passed away unexpectedly Monday August 17, 2026 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born March 16, 1959, he was the son of the late Attorney Michael and Edna Spangler Shehadi. He graduated from Mid Valley High School, Throop, and attended Mansfield State College.
During his career Michael was a chef and drove tractor trailers and coaches for multiple music performers. He will be remembered for his love of building model trucks and trains. He had an open-door policy and was always willing to help anyone. Michael lived for his wife, children, and especially grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two daughters Amber and Ashley Shehadi; and a brother, John Shehadi.
Surviving is his wife, Lori; children, Sabrina Montes and husband, Nicholas, and Briana Shehadi all of Ocala, FL, Jasmine, Christopher, and David Peters, all of Nanticoke; grandchildren, Jaxon Suprum, and Isabella McClellan of Nanticoke, Raylyn Montes of Ocala, FL., (Forever Pop’s girl); close nieces and nephew, Melissa Lowery, Jacklyn Evans and husband, Jason, Brittany Shemanski and Nicholas Rossi; and other nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be Monday at 6:00 p.m. from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke, with the Rev. Roger C. Noss, pastor of Mount Moriah Independent Community Fellowship, officiating.
Visitation hours will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Private interment will be in Sacred Heart Lebanese Cemetery, Scranton.
