Michael P. Becker, 64, of the Wanamie section of Newport Township, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Born March 18, 1957 in Nanticoke, he was a son of Earl and Ann Marie (Harvey) Becker of Alden. A resident of Newport Township his entire life, Michael graduated from John S. Fine High School, Nanticoke with the class of 1975, and earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from Kings College in 1979.

He married the former Georgina Pedley on May 21, 1983.

Michael was employed at the former St. Stanislaus Nursing Home, Sheatown early in life, and for the past thirty-three years at Pennsylvania American Water Company as a filter plant operator at the Lake Scranton Filter plant.

He is survived by his parents, Earl and Ann Marie Becker, Alden; his wife of 38 years, Georgina; daughters, Tiffany Becker MD and fiancé, Ira Barth of Mountain Top; and Samantha Becker of Hanover Township; a brother, Leon Becker and a sister, Cheryl Becker, both of Alden; mother-in-law, Florence Pedley of Mountain Top; brother-in-law, Thomas Pedley and wife, Jill of Collegeville; nephews, Michael Becker and Matthew Wojciechowski; nieces, Alison and Caitlin Pedley; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

THE FUNERAL SERVICE HAS BEEN POSTPONED to 3 p.m. SUNDAY, MARCH 13th from Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke, with the Rev. Michele D. Kaufman, officiating.

VIEWING AND VISITATION HOURS WILL BE SUNDAY, MARCH 13TH FROM 1 P.M. UNTIL THE TIME OF THE SERVICE at the funeral home.
