Mary Bilko, 93, of Nanticoke, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022.

Mary resided in Nanticoke for most of her life until moving to be near her daughter in Allentown within recent years.

She was born April 12, 1929, the only child of the late John and Eva Sunder and was a graduate of Nanticoke High School.

In 1949 she married Stephen T. Bilko, who played professional baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Detroit Tigers. He preceded her in death in 1978.

Mary worked in quality control for RCA Corporation, Mountain Top until retiring in 1989.

She was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke and previously the former St. Joseph's Slovak Catholic Church her entire life, until the consolidation of parishes. At. St. Joseph's she was active in the Christian Mothers group.

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Santa and husband, Karl, with whom she last resided; a son, Stephen Bilko and wife, Mary; and Thomas Bilko and wife, Cindy; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing or calling hours.
