Margaret E. "Marge" Sullivan, 92, of Nanticoke, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born in Wanamie January 30, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Ervin and Blanche Smith Rinehamer.
She attended the Newport Township Schools and early in life worked in the tobacco industry; General Cigar, for six years, Consolidated Cigar, Wilkes-Barre, for ten years, before spending the majority of her life as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, and Holy Trinity Church prior to the consolidation of the parishes. Living the last 28 years living in Park Towers, Marge enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially Lori, Esther, Bernie, and Gerard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, John I. "Jack" Sullivan, who passed away on May 7, 1995; she was the last member of her immediate family, being preceded by siblings, Ervin (Pete) Rhinehammer, William Rhinehamer Sr., Harry Rinehamer, Donald Rinehamer, Rose Rinehamer, Pearl Beggs, Irene Pissott, and infant Madge Rinehamer.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke.
Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Sheatown.
Family and friends may call for viewing and visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
