Luella Reese, 80, of Hunlock Creek, died Sunday, July 27th 2025.

Born January 8, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Luke and Nora Sutton Long.

She graduated from Northwest Area High School in 1963 and attended Empire Beauty School.

She started her career at J. C. Penney in 1971. She later became administrative secretary at the Wyoming Valley Sanitary Authority, where she worked for 43 years, retiring in 2020.

She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, visiting the beach, going to the casino, shooting darts, and going to dinner with family and friends.

Luella is survived by daughters, Brenda Williams and her husband, Dale, of Shavertown, and Shelly Reese, of Hunlock Creek; grandchildren, Kyle Williams and his wife, Jill, of Shavertown, Devin Williams and his girlfriend, Bambi, of Wilkes Barre, Cheyenne Johnson and her husband, Scott, of Shickshinny. She was Nana Nana to great granddaughter Florence Williams. She is also survived by a niece, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A Funeral service will be Friday, August 1st, at 7pm, from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 East Broad Street, Nanticoke, with The Rev. Dr. Paul C. Amara, pastor of Trucksville United Methodist Church, officiating.

Viewing and visitation hours will be Friday, from 5 p.m. until services begin.

Private interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
