Leon T. Becker, 65, of the Alden Section of Newport Township, passed away unexpectedly Sunday September 1, 2024 at his home.

Born September 11, 1958 in Nanticoke, he was a son of Ann Marie Harvey Becker, of Alden and the late Earl W. Becker Jr. who passed away on May 31, 2023.

A lifelong resident of Alden, Leon graduated from John S. Fine High School, Nanticoke, class of 1976. He was a member of Local 524, Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Scranton, and was employed by J.L. Turner Plumbing Company (later Marx), Wilkes Barre, retiring after 28 years of service.

He loved riding his quad and spending time with his family and friends. Leon was also an avid Yankee baseball fan.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Becker on March 6, 2022 and uncles, Carl Becker and John Connell.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Ann Marie, are his son, Michael Becker and wife, Jordyn, of Nanticoke; a sister, Cheryl Becker, of Alden; a sister-in-law, Georgina Becker of Wanamie; nieces, Tiffany Becker (Ira); and Samantha Becker; a nephew, Matthew Wojciechowski; aunts; Janice Becker, and Bernadine Connell; and several cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held at noon Friday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke, with the Rev. Michele D. Kaufman, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mountain Top, officiating.

Viewing and visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
