Kristina Cronan

Kristina Cronan, 51, of Wilkes Barre, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Born October 29, 1974 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter the late Joseph and Ruth Eckenrode Kennedy.

She was a graduate of E. L. Meyers High School, Wilkes Barre and had been employed for many years at the former Mercy Hospital, Wilkes Barre. For the last five years she was employed at Boscov’s.

Kristina also loved animals, especially her dogs, Oreo, aka- Suzie Cobozie and DC, aka-Perker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Cronan Jr.; her son, Daniel J. Cronan III; a sister, Lisa Erickson; and sister-in-law, Sandra Cronan.

Surviving, are her son, Joseph Cronan, Wilkes Barre; a sister, Ruth Ungvarsky, Harveys Lake; brothers, Louis Abend, Wilkes Barre; Raymond Abend, Greenville, SC; and Eric Kennedy, Plymouth Township; her companion, Kevin McDonald; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke with Rev. Roger C. Noss, pastor of Mount Moriah Independent Community Fellowship, officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Family and friends are invited to visitation hours Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
