Joyce E. Schrader, 82, of Nanticoke, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at Birchwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Nanticoke.

Born in Nanticoke July 12, 1941, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Farrell Dorak.

Joyce was a graduate of Saint Vincent's High School, and graduated from the IBM Technical School. Her years of employment were spent as an operator for Geisinger Health Care Systems. She was a devout catholic member of St. Faustina's Kowalska Parish, Nanticoke. She loved spending time with her family, and playing bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Pietrzyk.

Left to cherish her memory is son, Charles W. Schrader, Nanticoke; sister, Carol Slominski and her husband, Dennis, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; grandchildren, Madison Schrader, John Pietrzyk, Kristen Pietrzyk; her nephews, a great niece, and a great great niece.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated10 a.m. Friday at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish 520 S. Hanover Street, Nanticoke.

Family and friends may visit at the church chapel Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
