John William (Jack) Reese, formerly of West Nanticoke, died Sunday, January 24, 2021 in Florida.

Born July 25, 1943 to the late John and Eleanor (Grout) Reese, he graduated from Harter High School in 1961.

He worked for General Motors, Ironworkers Local #404 from Harrisburg and later in the construction business around the Wyoming Valley before moving to Pensacola in 2004. There he worked for an auto auction until a stroke in 2014 forced him to retire.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Violet Robinson Reese, who died May 20, 2020; sisters and their spouses, Judie Rowlands (Ken) and Gail Shipkowski (Mike).

Surviving are daughters; Brenda Williams (Dale), Shelly Reese, Gina Bergman (Jeff) and Tina Wellborn (Dusty); grandchildren, Kyle Williams (Jill), Devin Williams, Cheyenne Johnson (Scott), Kaleigh Coates (Ashton), Patrick Wellborn, Haley Bergman and Grant Bergman; great-grandchildren, Florence Williams and Theodore Coates; former wife, Luella Reese; cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and many friends.

Due to the Covid restrictions, private services will be held at this time. A memorial celebration will be planned for a later date.
