John L. Pesci Sr.

John L. Pesci Sr., 79, of Plymouth, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 a patient at Birchwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Nanticoke.

Born May 24, 1947 in Newark, New Jersey he was a son of the late John and Antoinette Colella Pesci. John served his country enlisting with the U. S. Marine Corps. in 1965. He served in Vietnam for two years and received the Good Conduct, National Defense Service, Vietnam Service, and Vietnamese Campaign Medals, and a Combat Action Ribbon. He later served with the National Guard, Service Battery, 109th Field Artillary for 33 years, retiring with the rank of Sergeant in 2007.

In addtion to his military service, John was employed by Abe N. Solomon, Inc. Wilkes-Barre.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Linda Lindbuchler and Florence Rastelli.

Surviving is his wife, the former Audrey Richards; sons, Frank, John Jr., and Keith; a daughter, Maria; seven grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Stephen Pesci and his wife, Patricia; sisters, Frances Cooperman, and Karen Muhaw and her husband, John; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Private arrangements are in the care of Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke. There will be no public viewing or calling hours.

Interment with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
