Evelyn C. Ogin

Evelyn “Dolly” Ogin, 89, of Nanticoke, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born November 16, 1936 in St. Johns, Butler Township, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Caroline Howser Kirschner.

In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by sons, Steven and Michael E. Ogin; sisters, Dorothy Garren and Beatrice Kirschner; and brothers-in-law John Jaskulski and Thomas Potoski.

Surviving is her son, Robert L. Ogin Jr; siblings, Carl Kirschner and wife, Nancy, Joan Potoski, Pauline Jaskulski, Richard Kirschner and wife, Barbara, and David Kirschner; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside Memorial Service will be Monday, September 14th at 11 a.m. at Bloomingdale Cemetery, 127 Silo Road, Shickshinny with the Rev. Roger C. Noss Jr., pastor of the Mount Moriah Independent Community Fellowship, officiating.
