Donna D. Armstrong

January 11, 1945 — March 23, 2026

Lee Park, Hanover Township

     Donna D. Armstrong, 81, of the Lee Park section of Hanover Township passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at the emergency room at Geisinger Wyoming Valley.

     Born and raised in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Vera Erwine Partington. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School.

     Donna worked as a tax preparation specialist but was primarily a housewife and mother.She enjoyed yard sales, shopping, and spending time with her family and pets. A lifelong learner, she was an avid reader and a proud member of the Book Club. She also participated in the Birthday Club and the German‑American Club communities that brought her joy and lasting friendships.

     Donna was an enthusiastic and adventurous traveler. Her journeys took her across the world, including Australia, Germany, Amsterdam, England, Scotland, France, Belgium, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Canada, Wales, Ireland, Hawaii, and many other destinations throughout the United States. She spent several months living in Wales, Scotland, and France, embracing each place with curiosity and appreciation. During her time in Europe, she toured more than 33 castles, a testament to her love of history, culture, and exploration.

     She belonged to the First Primitive Methodist Church in Plymouth and in earlier years volunteered extensively for the Lee Park Boys League and Lee Park Elementary P.T.A.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Nicholas Cardimona in 1972, and Joseph Armstong in 2023; a brother, Donald Partington; a sister, Sandra Partington; mothers-in-law, Helen Cardimona and Anna Armstrong; sister-in-law, Margaret Armstrong; and brother-in-law, Donald Griffiths.

     Surviving are sons, Jeffrey Cardimona and wife, Kimberly, of Hazle Township, and Steven Cardimona of Lee Park; grandchildren, great grandchildren; step daughters, Carole Tellie, and Gail Doknovitch; step sons, Mark Armstrong and wife, Gale, Joseph Armstrong Jr., and Stephen Armstrong; a brother, William Partington and wife, Edith; a sister, Susan Griffiths; as well as several nieces and nephews.

     A Funeral Service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke with the Rev. Roger C. Noss Jr., pastor of Mount Moriah Independent Community Fellowship, officiating.

     Viewing and visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.

     Interment and committal service will be on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
