Cecelia L. Pecaitis

Cecelia L. Pecaitis, 81, of Nanticoke, died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Hunlock Township on Friday, December 5, 2025.

Born on March 7, 1944, in Wilkes- Barre, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Celia Kubicz Panasewicz.

Cecelia was a graduate of Hanover High School, class of 1962.  She furthered her education, attending and graduating from Wilkes-Barre Business College, Marywood University, Dunmore, earning a Special Education Certification, Misericordia University, Dallas, earning a Bachelors degree in Education, and Scranton University, where she earned a Masters in Administration. 

She taught in Catholic Schools for 17 years, and the Hanover Area School District, where she taught and served as the school principal .

She is survived by her sister, Jean Marie Castellino and her husband, Joseph; two nieces; one nephew; a great niece and a great nephew; many friends.

A Blessing service will begin 1 p.m., Thursday, December 11th at Holy Trinity Cemetery Chapel, 2 Old Newport Street, Sheatown. 

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until services begin.

Interment with Rite of Committal will immediately follow.
