Brian Waclawski, 54, of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia where he had been hospitalized for the past month, and following a long period of deteriorating health.
A lifelong resident of Nanticoke, Brian was born February 5, 1971 a son of Patricia Talarick Botsko, of Hanover Township, and the late Eugene J. Waclawski. He graduated from John S. Fine High School, Nanticoke, class of 1989, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Wilkes University in 1993.
Brian was a very talented artist who continued to develop his talent studying locally with acclaimed artist and instructor Sue Hand and, informally, with award-winning comic artist and writer Jimmy Palmioti.
Well known in the area as a cook for many years, he worked at the former Centre Inn, Newport Center; the Ice House Pub, Mountain Top; and Larry’s Pizza, Nanticoke.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Nanticoke. He was kind-hearted with a great sense of humor and was fiercely loyal to his friends and family, giving generously of his time and many talents to help if called upon.
