Beverly M. Thomas, 78, of Nanticoke, passed away Sunday morning, August 6, 2023 at Allied Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre following a period of declining health.

A lifelong resident of Nanticoke, she was born September 2, 1944 the daughter of the late Thomas B. Thomas III and Llewella Williams Thomas. Beverly graduated from Nanticoke High School and entered the workforce, working for several jobs before becoming employed by A. Rifkin Company, Hanover Township. She retired after over thirty-five years with the company. She was also subsequently employed by H & R. Block, Nanticoke and Mountain Top for many years.

Beverly's life was devoted to her parents and she had a very close relationship to her late brother, Thomas B. Thomas IV even though separated by a long distance. She enjoyed her home and doing all sorts of crafts in her spare time and was a member of the former First English Baptist Church, Nanticoke.

Surviving is her sister-in-law, Sandy Thomas and family in Oklahoma; several Thomas family cousins; as well as close friends and neighbors.

Viewing and visitation hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday morning with the Rev. Barry M. Lohman, pastor of Zion United Church of Christ, Nanticoke, officiating. Interment will follow in Hanover Green Cemetery.

There will be no services or viewing on Thursday.
