Anna Norkitis, 93, of Nanticoke, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born July 23, 1928 at the family home in Ashley, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Katherine (Jones) Adams. She was a graduate of Ashley High School.
Anna belonged to First United Methodist Church, Nanticoke for many years where she was active in the choir and the United Methodist Women's group.
Her first husband, John F. Kerestes, preceded her in death in 1967; a son, Robert Kerestes in 1964; and her second husband, John A. Norkitis in 2019. She was also preceded by siblings, Louise Long, Wilfred Adams, and Frederick Adams.
Surviving are her son, Jack Kerestes and his wife, Sandi of Drums; granddaughters, Robin Laack and husband, Barry, of Cincinnati, OH, and Brooke Yaffe and husband, Eliot, of Oklahoma City, OK; a grandson, John G. Kerestes of Nanticoke; great-grandchildren, Hunter Laack, and Sydney and Miles Yaffe; a sister, Doris Myers of Sounderton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday from Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke with the Rev. Roger C. Noss Jr., her pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
