Andrew W. Paulson, 85, of Nanticoke, our beloved Dad, grandfather and father-in-law, passed away peacefully Monday, August 22, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born January 8, 1937 in White Plains, New York, he was the son of Anne Loughlin, an Irish immigrant from Galway, Ireland, and Paul Paulson, an immigrant from Greek Cyprus. Andrew, together with his father and brother Paul, were fortunate enough to travel abroad to visit the many relatives from Cyprus.
Andrew graduated from White Plains High School, where he was a member of the football team. He was an avid enthusiast and a lifelong fan of the New York Giants.
After high school, he became a member of Plumber Local Union # 299 in White Plains. Upon relocating to Wilkes-Barre, he transferred in to the Pipefitters and Plumbers Local # 524, where he worked for various contractors. He was also employed as a Mechanical Inspector for the State of Pennsylvania on construction sites throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania upon retiring from the Plumbers Union.
In addition to his parents, our father's wife, Patricia, of Nanticoke; and his brother, Paul, of Greenwich, Connecticut, preceded him in death.
Surviving family are; son, James Paulson and wife, Betty, Shavertown; daughter, Linda Paulson, Hanover Township; son, Jeffrey Paulson and Jenn, Mountain Top; daughter, Lori Robinson and husband, Mike, Fletcher, OK; and son, Gregory Paulson and wife, Mollie, Mountain Top; He is also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, whom he adored and loved dearly; grandchildren, Meghan and Kyle Paulson; Brittany and Breanna Paulson; and Deven and Conner Paulson; great grandchildren, Ella and Emma Keiling; a sister-in-law, Katherine Paulson, Greenwich, CT; and his beloved furbaby, Sophie.
Viewing and visitation hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday from Dinelli Family Funeral Home, Inc. 170 E. Broad Street, Nanticoke.
A Blessing Service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
