Andrew S. Novak, 79, of Ashley, formerly of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Wilkes Barre General Hospital.

Born May 11, 1945 in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Sylvester and Wanda Sawik Novak.

He graduated from Nanticoke High School and went to work for Penn Lee Footwear, and worked for many years at the State Hospital in White Haven, in the security department.

He was formerly a member of Holy Trinity Church, Nanticoke. Andrew was a life member of The Nanticoke Conservation Club, and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Nanticoke. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and caring for his many cats.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an uncle, Henry Sawik.

He is survived by his brother, John (Chila) Novak, and wife, Kathy Greenage, of Nanticoke.

A Blessing service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18th at Dinelli Family Funeral Home, 170 East Broad Street Nanticoke.

Friends may call for visitation Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m., when services will begin.

Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Sheatown.
