Amelia (Millie) O. Howells, 87, of Nanticoke, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026 at Birchwood

Rehabilitation Center. She died peacefully and without incident.

For 72 years, Millie was a dedicated Witness of Jehovah, and found immense joy in her preaching and teaching work as a devout member in all the congregations she was a part of.

While building their family, Roger and Millie started their own business, Colonial Appliance in Connecticut and in Montana. From 1969 until 1989, Millie was the Administrator and CFO of their family business.

Millie and Roger then moved to the Howells family home in Nanticoke. Millie was dedicated to loving and supporting her family, friends, neighbors, and her beloved congregation. She enthusiastically shared her love of Jehovah by going from door to door and telephone witnessing to her community, preaching His word and that of His Son Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her husband J. Roger Howells as well as many family members.
