Albert J. Danko, 87, of Nanticoke and formerly of Davie, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Born October 10, 1938, he was the son of the late Joseph and Albina Warakomski Danko.

Albert was a proud graduate of Nanticoke High School in 1956. Following graduation, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. After completing his military service, Albert embarked on a successful professional career that spanned several decades. He worked for more than 25 years at IBM and Eastman Kodak, where he developed extensive expertise in technology and innovation during a period of tremendous change in the industry.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Danko.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann (Danko) Gabel and brother-in-law, Michael Gabel, sister-in-law JoAnn Danko and his nieces and nephews, Michelle Gabel, Meredith Gabel, Darrin Conrad, Jamie Danko, and Kristen (Danko) Cunningham.

Albert also found immense joy in the companionship of his beloved cats, Tim and Tom. They were treasured members of his family and brought him years of laughter and unconditional affection. Caring for them was one of his greatest pleasures, and their presence brightened his days.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Edenbrook Hampton for their care and support during Al’s illness.

Per Albert’s wishes, services will be private. There will be no public visitation and viewing.
